MORE CNY PHOTO's

I've managed to download off the camera and upload to the web. I've popped a little preview here of myself and the lovelies from Coffs Coast who helped out with our Dragons Abreast merchandise stand. Thanks also to Central Coast for their help but I didn't have the camera handy then!
Positive feedback is STILL flowing in from the Chinese New Year weekend. Check out all the photos and if you have some to add - send them to myself or our webmaster Jan and we'll get them loaded! Cheers

A few words from Michelle

We are thrilled to see that everyone was interested to learn of the next Generation of Dragons Abreast Australia plans. The weekend at Myall will be a good opportunity to discuss further and I am really looking forward to receiving all your feedback.

I've just got back to Darwin last night - a busy trip but was great to see everyone again and attend the Dragon Muster in Canberra.

Will be posting photo's soon as I download them.

Was great to meet some of the newest members of Dragons Abreast from our newest member group - Port Hacking and also all the new paddlers amongst existing groups.
Cheers
Michelle

Time to start blogging ladies!

Thanks to all those Coordinators who attended the meetings on Friday 15th and Monday 18th Feb in Sydney. We all learnt a lot, and there is so much more for us in the future. Go ahead with strength and confidence, Dragons Abreast Australia!

Looking forward to seeing all those pics from CNY 2008, the Flowers on the Waters photo at http://picasaweb.google.com/DragonsAbreast/ChineseNewYear2008 is magnificent, but I'm sure there are more out there to add to the web.

We'll be doing more blogging workshops at Myall Lakes, so please come along, and urge your team members to enjoy this fabulous weekend with all our dragon boat mates.

What a Weekend!

After all the excitement of the CNY Regatta on beautiful Cockle Bay it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces at the meeting on Monday. I was unfortunately unable to stay for the entire meeting, but the general feeling was one of support all round - from the old hands to the newcomers, and all those in between. It will be sad to see Michelle step aside in June, but as she stated - it is time we stood on our own feet and this is the way of the future for DAA. I look forward to many more years of growth in DAA - who knows just how may paddlers we will attract as the sport of Dragon Boat becomes better known across Australia!
Thanks for a great weekend ladies - see you all again at Myall Point in March.
